Silver Memories service includes monthly concerts and events, as well as a fully integrated lifestyle program. The program is accompanied by over 7000 photographs that complements the listeners’ reminiscence experience totally ad-free with no disruption.

Program Guide

Our program is specifically designed for aged care with the goal of bringing joy to someone’s day. It is hosted by friendly announcers who bring a special ‘human touch’ and encourage a shared experience with listeners. Some of the most loved features of Silver Memories are the ‘cheerio’ and birthday calls heard each morning, including the singalongs and dance sessions.

Silver Scenes

Silver Scenes is a collection of over 7,000 photographs that listeners can watch while listening to the live broadcast. It is a powerful adjunct to the listener’s music reminiscence experience built on Silver Memories’ strong clinical research foundations.

The images are displayed on residents’ TVs for 30 seconds while they listen to the music, providing ample time for residents to engage, reminisce and initiate conversations. All Silver Scenes images are labelled so residents can easily identify the image’s location.

Resources

To help our members get the most out of Silver Memories, we have a wide range of resources and activities that complement their listening experiences. From puzzles to quizzes, there is so much to do that will help staﬀ get organised, and residents calm and engaged!

Staff Training

Silver Memories provides a comprehensive training program for staff of Aged Care Facilities. It is a strong belief that for the full benefits of the nostalgic radio service to be realized, all who interact with the residents need to understand the therapeutic nature of Silver Memories, the key features and associated resources.

All training is facilitated by an accredited trainer and experienced training and development specialist. Once you have installed Silver Memories, the accredited trainer will contact you and arrange an appointment. This is an interactive session which can be provided in person if geography permits, or via a virtual platform such as Zoom.
